Its performance-driven design enables seamless use in both confined and open-field environments.
Complete 3D Scanning System.
Detachable handheld laser scanner with the world's biggest FOV
Dynamic tracking module for continuous spatial referencing
VPG-based volumetric accuracy assurance
Fully wireless with no cable connection
Compact and transport-ready assembly
In traditional laser tracker scanners, the tracker is fixed on the tripod while the 3D scanner moves for position tracking to scan without a marker. With Track Nova dynamic tracking, both the scanner and tracker can move, enabling accurate 3D point data acquisition in confined spaces and harsh factory environments.
The FreeScan Trak Nova includes a dynamic tracker system (TE Nova) and the world's largest FOV handheld laser 3D scanner (UE Nova). The user can use these integrated systems as a laser tracker 3D scanner or an independent large-scale handled 3D scanner for bigger parts with 2.6 x 2.2 m FOV, supporting high-speed and accurate scanning with reduced repositioning.
The system incorporates video photogrammetry to maintain volumetric accuracy without the use of coded markers. A calibrated reference rod is applied during setup to align spatial data, allowing reliable scanning of large objects while reducing setup time.
The scanner and tracker maintain communication via a stable wireless connection, allowing high-frame-rate data streaming without cable interference.
Both scanner and tracking modules include integrated computing units that process scan data in real time, improving responsiveness and supporting efficient workflow in field conditions.
Track Nova is made using carbon fiber materials, both modules are lightweight and engineered for transport. The full system is housed in a compact carrying case for field readiness.
At Precise3DM, we are an authorised master reseller for Shining3D metrology-grade 3D scanners. We offer an on-site POC demonstration of Freescan Track Nova in India. Once you become a user of Track Nova or UE Nova, you will be a premium customer of Precise3DM. We offer very good on-site training in two different phases, an SOP for scanner usage, and peace-of-mind warranty coverage. Our Goal is to equip our customers with the right 3D scanner for metrology applications..
The software combines outputs from TE Nova and UE Nova, aligning full-body scans and local feature regions into a unified and continuous 3D model.
Mesh density varies automatically with local geometry, refining detail in complex areas while maintaining speed and data efficiency elsewhere.
Detection algorithms locate key features like holes or slots, allowing fast and accurate dimensional analysis without manual measurement setup.
PTB-certified tools support form checks, GD&T measurements, and complete reporting workflows for precision inspection and process verification.

Use UE Nova for full-object scanning, then switch to TE Nova for high-resolution capture of specific features. If using TE Nova independently, activate the Partial HD mode in the software to increase mesh resolution in selected zones.
The TE Nova module delivers up to 2.5 hours of continuous use in wireless mode. The UE Nova module provides approximately 1 hour per charge. Both units utilize swappable battery packs to support uninterrupted field operation during extended sessions.
Yes, a wireless router is necessary for system communication in wireless mode. The scanner does not establish a direct peer-to-peer connection with the PC. A high-performance Wi-Fi 6 router is recommended to maintain data transmission stability. A compatible router is included in the standard kit.
The system is optimized for users requiring marker-free scanning with stable dynamic tracking in confined areas. It is suitable for small workspaces or labs, and when used with the UE Nova, it supports scanning of large-scale parts with consistent speed and accuracy
Routine calibration is recommended every two weeks under standard operating conditions. Calibration should also be performed when the scanner is relocated, exposed to significant temperature variations, or after transport, to maintain accuracy within certified specifications.
To enhance accuracy over extended scan volumes, the system applies integrated video photogrammetry. The UE Nova module supports a working distance of up to 3.5 meters for generating global spatial references, allowing high-precision scanning of large components without coded markers.
